about i-concier
i-concier is a docomo specific, subscription based "electronic assistant" service available starting from their late 2008 handsets.
Quoting docomo:
i-concier is a service that allows handsets to provide support for a variety of activities carried out in everyday life.
The service is meant to be an assistant (bot/avatar) for one's daily activities and revolves around a scheduler.
The functionalities are
- Information function (targeted feeds/spam) that can be linked to location (GPS)
- extended scheduling, called i-schedule
- Automatic schedule updates and backups
According to docomo, the i-schedule conforms to vCalendar 1.0 (see refs). The character set to use for Japanese must be Shift_JIS.
